Creating a WazirX account is quick and simple. Click Sign Up at the top-right of the website and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Email & Password
Enter a valid email ID (used for login and communication; cannot be changed later)
Set a strong password (6–64 characters; recommended 10+ with letters, numbers & special characters)
Step 2: Email Verification
Click Verify Email from the email sent to you (valid for 15 minutes)
If not received, check Spam/Junk/Promotions
You can click Resend Verification Email if needed
Step 3: 2FA Setup
Set up Two-Factor Authentication for security:
Authenticator App (Recommended)

SMS 2FA: Enter your 10-digit Indian mobile number (no country code or 0)
Enter the OTP received via SMS
If delayed, wait up to 10 minutes or use Resend OTP
Step 4: KYC Verification (Mandatory)
Required to deposit, withdraw, and trade.
Choose Instant Verification (via DigiLocker)
Enter PAN number
Enter 12-digit Aadhaar number
Verify using Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP
DigiLocker securely shares Aadhaar & PAN with WazirX
Choose Manual Verification if there's an issue in Instant Verification
Step 5: Selfie Verification
Take a clear selfie
Ensure good lighting and no glasses or hats
What Happens Next?
Verification may take a few minutes (Almost Instant) or up to 72 hours (for manual verification)
You’ll receive an email once approved
If rejected, the email will mention the reason and next steps
Common Reasons for KYC Rejection
Details mismatch (Name, address, ID numbers)
Duplicate account (only one account per user allowed)
KYC approval is subject to WazirX verification criteria. WazirX reserves the right to reject applications without giving reasons.
Important Note
Re-KYC is required annually as part of compliance directives issued by the FIU-IND
