When Crypto Recovery May Be Possible

| Incorrect Destination Tag/Memo | Depositing XRP, XLM, AVA, or EOS with an incorrect tag/memo, provided it does not belong to another user. |
| Missing Destination Tag/Memo | Depositing XRP, XLM, AVA, or EOS without the required tag/memo. |
| Smart Contract Deposits | Depositing ETH/ERC-20 or BNB/BEP20 tokens from a smart contract address. |
When Crypto Recovery Is Not Possible
If you withdraw cryptocurrency to an incorrect wallet address, WazirX cannot recover the funds.
In such cases, contact the receiving exchange or wallet owner for assistance.
Recovery Process and Timeline
Crypto recovery is a complex process that can only be performed by an authorized security team.
A recovery attempt requires a minimum of 3–4 weeks. This is not a guaranteed recovery or completion timeline.
Crypto Recovery Fees
WazirX waives recovery fees in most cases.
In rare situations where a recovery fee applies, you will be informed through chat or email before the recovery process is initiated.
