WazirX supports Crypto-USDT Futures trading with INR margin. You can trade supported USDT-quoted Futures pairs, such as BTC-USDT and ETH-USDT, using the INR balance in your Futures Wallet without converting INR to USDT.
How Do Crypto-USDT Futures Work With INR Margin?
| Details | What You Should Know |
|---|---|
| Trading Pairs | Trade supported Crypto-USDT Futures pairs, where cryptocurrency prices are quoted in USDT. |
| Margin Currency | Use the INR balance in your Futures Wallet to open positions. You do not need to convert INR to USDT. |
| Margin and PNL Calculations | Market prices, position values, margin, and Profit and Loss (PNL) are notionally calculated in USDT, while your Futures balance remains in INR. |
| USDT-INR Exchange Rate | WazirX uses a fixed USDT-INR exchange rate, displayed on the platform, for calculations. Changes in the market USDT-INR rate do not continuously affect your available INR Futures balance. |
How Are INR Margin and PNL Calculated?
Here's an example using an assumed exchange rate of 1 USDT = ₹99.
| Details | Example |
|---|---|
| Futures Wallet Balance | ₹9,900 |
| Notional USDT Value | ₹9,900 ÷ ₹99 = 100 USDT |
| Example Trading Profit | 20 USDT |
| Profit Reflected in INR | 20 USDT × ₹99 = ₹1,980 |
Note: Your INR is not actually converted into USDT. The USDT value is used only for Futures calculations, and the resulting value is reflected in INR.
